Deftones Finishing Up "White Pony"

The Deftones are currently holed up in The Plant recording studio in Sausalito, California laying down tracks for "The White Pony," the group's eagerly anticipated third album.

The band is expected to finish recording the album in the next week or so and will then head to Los Angeles to begin mixing the record on January 3. The result of these sessions is expected to arrive in April of next year when "The White Pony" hits stores.

The Deftones struck gold with their first two albums ("Adrenaline" and "Around The Fur") and began writing material for the new album in April of this year. After making the rounds on this summer's Ozzfest tour, the band headed to the Plant in August to begin recording the album with producer Terry Date.
