Janet Jackson Talks Collaboration With Former In-Law

The success of R&B crooner Chico DeBarge's solo debut album, "Long Time, No See," hasn't gone unnoticed by friends, family or former in-laws, as ex-sister-in-law Janet Jackson recently phoned Chico to congratulate him on his chart-rising new record and single, "No Guarantee."

Jackson, whose marriage to Chico's brother, James, was annulled less than a year after the couple was wed in 1984, took time out of her U.S. tour to reach out and touch base with her former in-law, and even discussed the possibility of working with Chico on an upcoming project.

"She called and congratulated me on the album," Chico told the MTV Radio Network, "and we started talking and [collaborating together] just came up, and we went, 'Yeah, you know, we should do a duet together. So, I'll stay in touch with her about that -- maybe we could make that happen." [140k Audio]
