De La Soul Cuts Tracks With The Roots, Xzibit

Venerable rap trio De La Soul is hard at work on the fifth studio album of its 12-year career, an effort tentatively titled "Art-official Intelligence" and due in stores later this year.

For the new record, the follow-up to 1996's "Stakes Is High," De La Soul has said it has already recorded tracks with the Roots and Xzibit, and is looking to log some studio time in the near future with Al Green and Sade.

Meanwhile, all three members of De La Soul are featured in a new outdoor campaign for Levi's jeans. In the billboards, De La's DJ Maseo holds up a sign that reads "Leadership - Loyalty - Love is the key." The ads will be posted through the summer in New York City's Times Square, as well as locations in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco.
