Puya, DDT To Join Megadeth, Type O Negative At New York Benefit

Latin rockers Puya and the Lars Ulrich-approved Canadian outfit DDT will join Megadeth and Type O Negative for next week's benefit show marking the 15th anniversary of hard rock establishment Concrete Marketing.

The show, set for New York's Roseland Ballroom on September 1, will benefit the T.J. Martell Foundation's fight against pediatric AIDS while helping Concrete celebrate 15 years of helping the careers of some of hard rock's finest.

The event finds Puya still relatively fresh from a successful run on this summer's Ozzfest outing, while marking one of DDT's most high-profile gigs to date. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich came across the band and soon signed DDT to his TMC record label (which is distributed through Elektra Records).

In addition to Megadeth, Type O, Puya, and DDT, next week's benefit will also feature what is being called an all-star tribute to Black Sabbath, though the names of those involved are being kept under wraps until the show.
