Dave Matthews Band Taps Alanis Morissette For Mile High Show

Opening for the likes of the Rolling Stones may have taught the Dave Matthews Band a thing or two about drawing its own high-profile supporting acts.

After announcing plans for a series of East Coast arena shows with the Roots and Carlos Santana, the DMB has landed Alanis Morissette and Big Head Todd and the Monsters for a special one-off concert on July 20 at Mile High Stadium in Denver, Colorado.

The band will incorporate these gigs into its extensive spring-summer tour, which kicks off on May 1 in Tampa, Florida and is currently scheduled through an August 7 show in Hartford, Connecticut.

Morissette wraps her spring U.S. tour with Garbage on Wednesday night at Universal City, California and will mount tours of Japan, Canada, and several European countries before returning to the States for her Mile High performance with the DMB.
