The Dave Matthews Band will make a return appearance at the 12th Annual Farm Aid concert, slated for September 12 at the Nissan Pavilion in Bristow, Virginia.The set will mark the third time in five years the DMB will have played the benefit, following previous appearances at Farm Aid '97 in Tinley Park, Illinois, and Farm Aid '95 in Louisville, Kentucky. Others currently scheduled to play Farm Aid '99 include the organization's three musical founders: Neil Young, Willie Nelson, and John Mellencamp, as well as Steve Earle, The Mavericks, and Trisha Yearwood. Additional rock and country acts are expected to sign on for the concert, which raises funds and awareness for America's struggling family farmers. This year's Farm Aid is also being held in conjunction with a planned rally in nearby Washington, D.C. and in other major cities by the Campaign to Reclaim Rural America, which is seeking to have the government reform its farm policies and programs. Wilco, Hootie and the Blowfish, and actor Woody Harrelson were among those that came out for last year's Farm Aid, which was also held in Tinley Park, Illinois.
