Cypress Hill's Muggs Readies Next Solo Project

Cypress Hill has just released its new album, "Skull & Bones," and now group member DJ Muggs is wrapping up his next solo project.

Muggs is currently mixing his new album, "The Soul Assassins: Chapter Two," in Los Angeles. The album, which is due out this August, includes Wu-Tang's GZA, Rage Against The Machine's Zack De La Rocha, Mobb Deep, Kool G Rap, and Goodie M.O.B.

The LP is the follow-up to Muggs' 1997 "Muggs Presents The Soul Assassins" album (see "Dr. Dre Teams With Cypress Hill's Muggs"). That project featured input from Dr. Dre, B-Real, Mobb Deep, KRS-One, Goodie M.O.B., and members of the Wu-Tang Clan and the Fugees.

No word on a release date for the new "Soul Assassins" LP but we'll keep you posted.

Meanwhile, Cypress Hill's new album, "Skull & Bones," is in stores now, and the group plans to mount a tour with Limp Bizkit on July (see "Durst
