Curve Drummer Arrested For Disorderly Conduct

Steven Spring, the new drummer for British band Curve, was arrested on Tuesday night for disorderly conduct stemming from an incident in which Spring allegedly became belligerent after drinking on a flight from London to Newark, New Jersey.

Spring was being held by authorities in New Jersey until Thursday afternoon, when he will be officially charged. A band spokesperson said that Spring is said to have become rude and aggressive after being told not to smoke on the flight. Spring was eventually restrained and placed in plastic handcuffs until police apprehended him when the plane touched down in Newark.

The group has recruited former drummer Steve Monty so it can honor the first date of a North American tour on Thursday night in Toronto, and a spokesperson for Curve said that Spring was not expected to re-join the band.
