October 30 [18:00 EDT] -- The Crystal Method's record label, Outpost Recordings, says the duo was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time when they were corralled by Los Angeles police for drug possession.

As we first reported on Wednesday, the Crystal Method's Ken Jordan and Scott Kirkland were among a group of eight who were arrested on suspicion of possessing of an illegal substance, in this case the rave drug GHB. Late Wednesday, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office said that no charges had been filed against the band pending further investigation.

The record label says the two were on their way home after taking in the Jane's Addiction show at the Olympic Auditorium when they stopped by the home of a Los Angeles DJ to drop off vinyl copies of their album, "Vegas." The duo say they were there a short time when "the whole house was overrun by police," according to Kirkland. "The building was being circled by helicopters with spotlights. We were arrested,

cuffed and taken downtown, as was everybody else in the building.

After the whole "Cops"-like incident, Kirkland and Jordan are preparing to launch a U.S. tour next week in Philadelphia. If you can't catch them live, the two will also be popping up on the MTV Sports an Music Festival which airs November 7 and 8. The group will also appear on the next installment of MTV's "Fashionably Loud" which will air next February.
