Family Values Tour Announces Itinerary

Limp Bizkit, DMX, Filter, Method Man, Redman, Crystal Method, and Staind have all formally signed on for the second annual Family Values Tour, which is set to launch on September 21 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

One act rumored to have been on the bill has apparently failed to make the cut: the Insane Clown Posse, a group currently embroiled in a tour dispute with Coal Chamber (see “Coal Chamber Plans To Take Beef With ICP To Court” ).

DMX and the duo of Method Man and Redman will tag-team the rap slot on Family Values ’99, as DMX will drop rhymes on the first half of the tour, then pass the mic to Red and Meth for the rest of the outing.

Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst phoned into “Total Request Live” on Tuesday afternoon and spoke with MTV News’ John Norris about what fans can expect from the 1999 edition of the Family Values Tour.

“If you saw Family Values last year,”
Durst said, “[then] this year is times ten. This is bigger, fatter. It’s just amazing, and I think that every year is gonna keep getting better. And I think we’re gonna have guest appearances from people from last year. It’s just an amazing thing for rock and hip-hop in this world and 1999 today.” [RealAudio]
