Sheryl Crow To Star With Dwight Yoakam In "Minus Man"

After bowing out of a series of mid-summer Lilith dates to focus on readying her new album, "Riverwide," for release on September 15, Sheryl Crow has now lined-up her first starring film role.

Crow has agreed to star opposite Dwight Yoakam in the drama "The Minus Man", which will be directed by Hampton Fancher and also feature Janeane Garofalo, Brian Cox and Mercedes Ruehl, according to the "New York Daily News."

"The Minus Man" role marks quite a leap into the realm of acting for Crow, whose previous screen time -- aside from her videos -- has been limited to cameo appearances on several shows, including an episode of "Ellen."
