Sheryl Crow and Sarah McLachlan recently finished up their summer of touring when the Lilith Fair came to an end on August 31 in Edmonton, but neither artist will stay off of the concert stage for long.McLachlan has just been added to the bill of the "Sheryl Crow and Friends" concert in New York's Central Park. Guitar god Eric Clapton previously signed on to play the show, which will be broadcast live on Fox on September 14 (see "Sheryl Crow To Play Central Park With Eric Clapton, Others"). Although Crow confesses that this concert has her nervous to the point of being nauseated, she recently explained to MTV News' Chris Connelly why she's going through with it. "We play six nights a week, and we tour so much, and we still can't get to all the places that we feel like we need to get to," Crow told Connelly, "and places that I want
to get to, like small towns in Missouri where I'm from... so it's great that people will be actually able to see what I do and have it be a realistic setting. Not to mention that I get to bring up some great friends and do some of their material. So it's going to be awesome." [RealVideo]American Express will distribute tickets to the concert after Labor Day (September 6) in all of New York City's five boroughs via a promotional instant game, with winners receiving two tickets to the show. Additional performers will also be formally announced after Labor Day.
