Creed Lines Up Sevendust Dates

After the bands dropped word to various press outlets that a tour was in the works, Creed and Sevendust have finally lined up dates for their U.S. tour.

Sources close to Sevendust confirm the outing, and Creed's official Web site has posted a month's worth of Creed/Sevendust dates that kick off on March 22 in Indianapolis. The two modern rock products of the South will then blow through the Midwest and hit the East Coast by mid-April.

For the chart-topping Creed, the tour will mark a return to the road, while Sevendust is currently making the rounds with Kittie. Fu Manchu and P.O.D. will then hook up with Sevendust for two weeks' worth of dates before the Creed outing (see "Fu Manchu To Pump 'King' On Sevendust Tour").

"We worked with those guys a couple of years ago when they first came out, and we were playing a few different shows together," Sevendust frontman

Lajon Witherspoon recently told MTV News of his band's ties to Creed. "We kind of built a relationship, and we have much respect for them. Those guys have helped us out a lot." [RealVideo]

True to those words, Creed tapped Sevendust for the recently released "Scream 3" soundtrack (which Creed executive produced), and late last year both bands bonded even further while opening a string of shows for Metallica.
