Cranberries Singer Becomes A Mother

November 25 [10:00 EDT] -- Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan has joined Erykah Badu and Cyndi Lauper among the ranks of the music world's new mothers.

O'Riordan gave birth to her first child, 7 lb., 6 oz. Taylor Baxter Burton, on Sunday in Toronto. The singer's husband, Don Burton, was on hand for the delivery.

Both Dolores and baby Taylor are said to be doing well.

O'Riordan will try to balance her newfound motherhood with her musical career when the Cranberries re-enter the studio early next year to continue work on their next album.

The group has already logged a couple months work on their fourth album, and hopes to have it completed and in stores by the end of next year.
