July 21 [17:00 EDT] - Counting Crows had to cancel their performances Sunday and Monday at the Great Woods in Mansfield, Massachusetts because of problems singer Adam Duritz has been having with nodes on his vocal chords.
The Wallflowers and Bettie Serveert, who are touring with Counting Crows, went on anyway, and refunds were offered to any disappointed fans.
For now, Counting Crows have no plans to cancel any further dates, although Duritz was planning to see a doctor on Tuesday. Their next scheduled stops for the tour are Wednesday in Toronto and Thursday in Buffalo.
Meanwhile, Counting Crows and the Wallflowers played New York's Jones Beach last Friday night, after a 2-hour delay.
The severe lightning storm, which ended up causing two deaths in the vicinity, blew up right after Bettie Serveert's set, but most fans waited it out in their cars.
