Counting Crows Got The “Life” For New Album

The Counting Crows have nearly completed work on their third studio effort, tentatively titled “This Desert Life,” and the band hopes to have the new album in stores by this fall.

The band has been holed up in a Los Angeles studio since last August with several producers manning the boards, including Dennis Herring and Cracker’s David Lowery. Songs slated to appear on “This Desert Life” include “Hanging Around” and “High Life.”

The Crows will kick off a four-date Canadian mini-tour on July 6 in Vancouver, British Columbia, and then cross the border to play Woodstock ’99 in Rome, New York on July 24.
