Those waiting to hear Coolio's side of what happened when he was arrested last week in California will have to wait a little bit longer.
The rapper had hoped to address his fans and any interested observers on Saturday, September 19 on his official website (at www.cooliosofficialsite.com) to discuss his recent arrest on misdemeanor weapons and drug charges. However, the rapper has apparently put those plans on hold until he can find an online home large enough to handle the expected user turnout.
Fans who swing by the site now are greeted with the message, "Due to the response to the upcoming Coolio chat, we are currently looking for a chat host large enough to accomodate (sic) it."
Coolio's camp hopes to reschedule the chat for some time this week.
As we first reported last week, the rapper was arrested on Tuesday after police found a gun and marijuana in his vehicle (see "Coolio Arrested On Weapons, Drug Charges"). The rapper's wife and manager, Josefa Salinas, later said that the incident was greatly exaggerated in the press, and that police had actually found an unloaded pistol that her husband was taking to a firing range and the remnants of a joint in the vehicle's ashtray (see "Coolio To Discuss Arrest In Live Chat").
