Coolio Gets Probation After Guilty Plea On Weapons Charge

Coolio was in a California courtroom on Wednesday to plead guilty to possession of a firearm.

The rapper was then sentenced to two years probation (including 10 days in jail and 40 hours of community service) after entering his plea in Superior Court in Torrance, California.

As we previously reported, the rapper was arrested in September of last year when police found a 9 mm semiautomatic weapon in his car after approaching him on a minor traffic violation (see "Coolio Arrested On Weapons, Drug Charges").

Earlier this year, the rapper pleaded not guilty to the charge (see "Coolio Pleads Innocent (Again) To Weapons Charges").

Coolio has until September 7 to complete his jail time.
