September 19 [10:00 EDT] -- Hip-hop kingpin Puff Daddy and moody art rockers Radiohead heard their names the most when the nominees for the 1997 MTV Europe Music Awards were announced on Thursday.
Puffy and Radiohead each grabbed three nominations, with Puffy vying for Best Male Artist, Best Break-Through Act, and Best Song for "I'll Be Missing You." Meanwhile, Radiohead is up for Best Group, and is also nominated in two new MTV Europe award categories: Best Live Act and Best Alternative Act.
While the awards are being doled out in The Netherlands at The Ahoy Stadium, Rotterdam on November 6, U2, nominees the Spice Girls, Aerosmith, Jon Bon Jovi, Backstreet Boys, and Skunk Anansie will be on-hand to perform as well.
