What does Sean "Puffy" Combs want with Heisman trophy winner and soon-to-be-first-round NFL draft pick Charles Woodson?
Thankfully, Puffy isn't looking to add Woodson to his Bad Boy artist roster, but according to several sources, Combs is seeking to become Woodson's agent prior to this April's NFL draft.
A spokesperson for the National Football League Player's Association confirmed that Puffy requested an application a few months ago, and may be soon certified as a agent by the NFLPA. The scuttlebutt amongst the agenting community is that Woodson and Combs have been talking, and that Woodson, who could be one of the top five players taken in the draft, is seriously considering signing with Puffy.
Combs does have experience on both sides of the bargaining table, as Bad Boy C.E.O. he negotiated artist contracts, and in 1996, he re-negotiated a very lucrative distribution deal for Bad Boy with Arista Records.
