Puffy Feeds The Homeless, Buys Another Home

Puff Daddy, a.k.a. Sean "Puffy" Combs, spent Thanksgiving Day feeding turkey and all the trimmings to the homeless in New York City's Harlem district. The operation was based out of a local gymnasium where Combs used to shoot hoops as a child. The event was co-organized by fellow rapper Sister Souljah. The Associated Press estimates that 2000 people were fed over the course of the day.

Meanwhile, in a story of contrasts, Combs himself is far from homeless and even farther this week if a story in the New York Observer is to be believed. The paper reports that Combs, who boasts a pricey pad in the Hamptons, has now also purchased the upscale Park Avenue building he's been residing in since last Spring.

The 12-story building had been divided into three four-story complexes with Puffy occupying the one on the bottom which comes complete with a private swimming pool. The rumored price tag on the purchase is $12 million, which was said to be almost twice the rate paid by

the previous owner two and half years ago.

The paper reports that the building was originally constructed in 1898 as a five-story private house. The other seven stories were added in 1979.

No Combs spokespeople were available for comment at press time.
