Magazine Publisher Seeks Criminal Charges For Recent Attacks

Following last month's assaults by musicians and their entourages against the editors of "Blaze" and "Spin" magazines, the parent company, Vibe/Spin Ventures, has announced in a statement that it will seek criminal charges against all the parties involved.

As we previously reported (see "Bad Boy Producer Arrested For Assaulting Hip-Hop Magazine Editor"), "Blaze" editor Jesse Washington was attacked last month by a group that included Bad Boy Records producer Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie for allegedly identifying Angelettie as the "Madd Rapper."

The most recent incident came when "Spin" editor Craig Marks was roughed up by several of Manson's bodyguards (see "Did Manson 'Spin' Out Of Control?") supposedly predicated by the magazine's decision to renege on its offer to put Manson on its year-end issue.
