Feeling Fleadh?

The Fleadh Festival (pronounced "flah"), which was all of one show last summer in New York, is boasting a bill for this summer of Chumbawamba, Sinead O'Connor, Shane McGowan of The Pogues and Richard Thompson, and this year, they're taking it on the road. Fleadh goes national in 1998 with shows in New York on June 13 and 14, plus a Chicago date on June 20 and San Francisco on June 27.

The festival is sponsored by Guiness, and the music is rooted in, but not exclusively, Irish. More acts should be announced, when else, St. Patrick's Day. We'll keep you posted.
