Mariah Compares New Single To "One Sweet Day"

Mariah Carey, who recently scored her 14th number one single with "Heartbreaker," is looking to keep the hits coming.

Her next single, "Thank God I Found You," teams her up with boy-band 98 Degrees and R&B singer Joe, and both parties appear in the song's performance-based video (see [article id="1426919"]"Mariah's Thankful She Found 98 Degrees And Joe"[/article]).

The clip premiered on yesterday's MTV's "Total Request Live," as Joe and the members of 98 Degrees joined host Carson Daly in MTV's Times Square Studios.

Mariah herself was in Spain on a promotional tour, and she took time out to join the powwow via phone to explain how she chose her collaborators for the single.

It's like when I was writing 'One Sweet Day,'" Mariah recalled. "It really cried out for a group to be singing with me and for a strong male-female thing in terms of going back and forth, vocally. So you know, we just naturally came together.

Rainbow," which

will contain "Thank God I Found You," "Heartbreaker," and doubtlessly an avalanche of other hits, will be in stores on November 2.
