Shudder To Think will reprise the concept behind its "First Love, Last Rites" soundtrack album with a special August 3 concert in New York City, at which Nina Persson of the Cardigans, John Doe of X and Robin Zander of Cheap Trick are slated to take guest turns on the mic.
As we previously reported (see "Shudder To Think Team With Corgan, Buckley, Phair For Soundtrack"), Shudder to Think recorded the soundtrack for the Jesse Peretz film with a virtual who's who list of alternative rockers, including Billy Corgan, Liz Phair and The The's Matt Johnson, all lending their vocal talents for the project. Doe, Persson and Zander also appear on the new Shudder To Think record.
The group's collaborative-minded music is incorporated into "First Love, Last Rites" as a series of singles one of the lead characters plays throughout the film.
"First Love, Last Rites" arrives on screens on August 6, while the Think-penned soundtrack
will be released on August 25.
