Cake Sets Dates For Spring U.S. Tour

The merry music-makers in Cake are currently winding down a European tour in support of their new album, "Prolonging the Magic," and have just announced dates for a spring U.S. excursion slated to kick off at the end of May.

Frontman John McCrea has fully recuperated from the hand injury that caused Cake to put off its dates in the U.K. and Germany back in March (see "Cake Postpones European Tour After John McCrea Breaks Finger"), and the band is expected to return to the States later on this week.

During the short layoff from the road, McCrea hopes to put in some time reviewing the tapes submitted for his planned TV pilot, "Freedom of Speech" (see "Cake's John McCrea Solicits Help For Potential Game Show").
