Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott Help Hip-Hop Take Over The WB Network

On Thursday, November 5, some of the brightest stars in hip-hop, including Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott, will be taking to the WB Network's prime time line-up, which is being billed as the "Thursday Nite Groove on the WB."

Elliott and her protégé Nicole will drop in on "The Wayan Brothers" for a performance of Nicole's new single, "Make It Hot," after which Gerald Levert will appear on "The Jamie Foxx Show" as Foxx's mother's much younger fiancé.

Wildman Busta Rhymes will bring his "woo-hahs" to "The Steve Harvey Show" as a romantic interest for one of the principal characters, and finally MC Lyte will play a neurotic assistant to Holly Robinson-Peete's psychiatrist character on "For Your Love."

In the past, the WB Network has utilized guest spots by urban artists to help bolster ratings for its programs, and this season has already seen a boost from vocalist Brian McKnight's appearance on an episode of "Sister Sister."
