Busta Rhymes Pleads Guilty To Weapons Charge

R. Kelly's recently departed tourmate, Busta Rhymes, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to the felony charge of criminal possession of a weapon.

A spokesperson for the New York District Attorney's office told MTV News that the rapper will receive 5 years probation, which is standard for a felony offense.

Violator, the management company that handles Busta, had no comment when contacted by MTV News.

The rapper was arrested on December 27 after New York police stopped him and his business manager for a traffic violation and found a .45 automatic in the backseat of his car (see "Busta Rhymes And Business Manager Busted On Weapons And Drug Charges.")

Busta is due back in court on June 16 for sentencing.
