Busta Rhymes Gets Probation In Weapons Case

On Wednesday, flamboyant rapper Busta Rhymes was sentenced to five years probation in Manhattan Supreme Court.

As we previously reported, Rhymes was arrested back in December on a felony weapons charge after police found him in possession of a loaded, unregistered .45 caliber semi-automatic handgun (see "Busta Rhymes And Business Manager Busted On Weapons And Drug Charges"). The weapon was spotted in Busta's black Mercedes when police pulled him and his business manager over for driving erratically.

Busta will begin serving his sentence in a year, as his probation was deferred because of an ongoing paternity suit.
