Lauryn Hill, Busta Rhymes To Release Live Marley Covers As Radio Singles

Turner Network Television will offer Bob Marley fans an audio preview of what to expect from the network’s all-star tribute to the legendary reggae figure by releasing both Lauryn Hill’s and Busta Rhymes’ live covers as radio singles.

Hill made several appearances onstage at last weekend’s “One Love” tribute show, and her duet with Ziggy Marley on “Redemption Song” will now be sent to radio, along with Busta Rhymes’ cover of “Rastaman Chant.” The radio singles are being issued to help promote the TV special, scheduled to air on TNT on December 18 at 8 p.m. (ET).

As we previously reported, the “One Love: The Bob Marley All-Star Tribute” featured artists ranging from Erykah Badu to the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson covering over 25 Marley classics (see “Lauryn Hill, Eve, Busta Rhymes, Ben Harper Catch A Fire At Marley Tribute Show” ), the “One Love: The Bob Marley All-Star Tribute” featured artists ranging from Erykah Badu
to the Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson covering over 25 Marley classics.

The TNT tribute to Marley is just the latest installment in its “Master Series” of such shows, as the network has also produced all-star specials celebrating the music and careers of Johnny Cash and Burt Bacharach.
