Busta To "Dew" It Again, Plans New Album

Busta Rhymes continues to be one of hip-hop's busiest ambassadors, with plans for a new album as well as another string of Mountain Dew commercials.

Busta recently shot two new television spots for Mountain Dew. In one, "DewMolition," a frustrated Busta is trapped in a Los Angeles traffic jam that is delaying him from reaching a recording session across town. The madman of hip-hop then takes control of the situation with a little help from everyone's favorite green beverage. In the second ad, "Crowd Control," Busta halts a performance in front of a wild nightclub audience to quench his thirst.

The commercials mark Busta's second run of spots for Mountain Dew (his first was in 1999) and are scheduled to air on several outlets including MTV, BET and the WB for the remainder of the year.

Meanwhile, the rapper's new album, "Anarchy," is slated for a June 20 release. Four days prior to that, on June 16, Busta hits the big screen, co-starring in "Shaft Returns" opposite

Samuel L. Jackson. The film was directed by John Singleton ("Poetic Justice," "Boyz N The Hood") and is a remake of the 1971 blaxploitation classic.
