June 10 [19:15 EDT] -- Gavin Rossdale of Bush was hit in the face with a glass bottle Monday night at the California Expo Amphitheatre in Sacramento, California. During the group's second encore, a person in the audience threw a glass bottle at the stage, hitting Rossdale on the bridge of his nose and knocking him to the floor. With the help of the band, the bleeding lead singer was rushed off stage and treated by an E.M.T. His nose was not broken.
Once the bleeding stopped, Rossdale returned to the stage, thanked the rest of the crowd for not throwing things at him and finished the show. Despite the fact that he was in some pain, Rossdale also met with radio contest winners after the show.
