Meredith Brooks To Join Stones And Dylan Before Hitting Lilith

Before joining this summer's version of the Lilith Fair tour, self-described "Bitch" Meredith Brooks will play a couple of gigs opening for the high-powered double bill of the Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan.

According to the singer's official website, Brooks (recent winner of a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Best New Female Artist) will open for the Dylan/Stones double-header at two shows at the River Palace Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina on April 4 and 5.

Brooks will then return to the States for a one-week run on the second outing of the Lilith Fair tour near the end of July. According to Brooks' record label, Capitol Records, she will join Natalie Merchant, Bonnie Raitt, Queen Latifah, Beth Orton, Rebekah, Holly Cole and Lilith founder Sarah McLachlan for a week's worth of dates beginning July 22 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The Lilith camp says a tour itinerary is not set yet, but they expect to announce their dates on April 16 in Los Angeles.
