Boyz II Men is slowly moving back into circulation after a long hiatus from the public eye.
The group put in an appearance at last week's Urban Network Conference in Los Angeles, and on Wednesday, the quartet played to close to 50,000 people at the Houston Rodeo.
As we previously reported, the group's "Amazing," which was released to radio stations this week as a single, appears on a second soundtrack disc from the movie "The Hurricane" (see "Boyz II Men Return With 'Amazing' Track").
The group has been working on a new album which could be out as early as May, according to a band spokesperson. The spokesperson told MTV News that the title and other details will be announced in the very near future.
Meanwhile, Boyz II Men's Wayna Morris will be releasing a side project called "Millennium Renaissance" March 7 on the Slipdisc/Mercury label. The album marks the debut release from Morris' new Wanmor Entertainment.
The 14-track compilation features various combinations of Morris, hip-hop artist Freddie Fingaz (formerly of Cipher Complete), and R&B lyricist Will Guice.
According to Morris' official Web site, the first single, "Worldwide," is described as a "universal shout-out theme song" performed by Freddie Fingaz. The second release will be the song "Burn," performed by Guice and featuring Fingaz and Morris.
The track listing for "Millennium Renaissance," which is being made available in both clean and explicit versions, is as follows:
- "Work It Out"
- "Why (Again)"
- "Burn (Damn)"
- "Set 4 Life"
- "Where U At"
- "Thug Party"
- "Jungle Love"
