Feb. 4 [12:00 EST] -- Former Culture Club centerpiece and 80s icon Boy George was reportedly beaten by bouncers at a club that employs George as a DJ.
According to reports, George, whose real name is George O'Dowd, claims that bouncers outside of London's Ministry of Sound "grabbed me by the throat and dragged me out into the street... They kicked me and punched me and broke my fingernails. They actually beat me up under the poster advertising an album I have done for them."
The club's managing director told reporters that George and his party would not comply with the usual door policy, and Scotland Yard is reportedly investigating the incident.
George produced a dance compilation for the club, titled "Annual 2," with the help of a BBC radio DJ.
