December 3 [7:55 EDT] -- Among the revelations dished out by Oasis' driving creative force Noel Gallagher to "Q Magazine" recently was the admission that he has ripped off the David Bowie-penned classic "All The Young Dudes".
Gallagher tells the magazine that he based his songs "Don't Look Back In Anger" [800k QuickTime] and "Stand By Me" on the main riff from the Bowie song, and stated, "He's still not sued me yet."
A spokesman for Bowie said that he's currently enjoying a Caribbean vacation before his appearance at this Friday's KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas show, and was not immediately available for comment. The spokesperson added, "We're not aware of it. It's not the first time it's been brought to our attention. David will have to think about it after his holiday."
Gallagher also told the British magazine that success bores him, and that he "can't record another big rock and roll album. And If I can ditch a few of
these little kids that stand outside my house 24 hours a day, then that'd be nice too."
