David Bowie, Iman Welcome Birth Of Baby Girl

The Thin White Duke is a dad once again.

On Tuesday morning, David Bowie and his wife, Iman, celebrated the birth of their first child, a baby girl named Alexandria Zahra Jones, who weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces.

Publicists for Bowie refused to disclose where Alexandria was born, but said the baby was born at 5:06 a.m. and that Bowie was present for the birth and even cut the umbilical cord.

Iman and Bowie have been married for more than eight years, and each has a child from previous marriages. Iman has a 22-year-old daughter, Zulekah, from her marriage to former NBA star Spencer Haywood, while Bowie has a 29-year-old son, Duncan, with his first wife, Angie.

In February, Bowie and Iman announced that they were expecting a child in August, and that he would likely put plans for any sort of extensive tour on hold so he could enjoy and focus on being a father (see "David Bowie, Iman Expecting Their First

Child").
