Blur Offers Cybercast On Demand

March 11 [18:00 EST] -- British rockers Blur marked the arrival of their latest album, simply titled "Blur," with a concert video offering to fans on the Internet.

When the album hit stores on Tuesday, the band's February London concert (which was originally carried live) became available on-demand at the Virgin Records website (at www.virginrecords.com).

The live broadcast of the concert was the first Internet broadcast to utilize RealVideo software, and to play the archived footage, users will have to install the plug in. Netizens can find instructions on the ways of RealVideo at www.liveconcerts.com.

Blur's new eponymous release, the follow-up to 1995's "The Great Escape," debuted at number one on the British album chart. Fans may also want to keep their eyes open for the album's first video, the Sophie Muller (No Doubt, Weezer) directed "Song 2."
