Blondie Lines Up High Profile New Year's Eve

Recently returned '80s hitmakers Blondie are in for a high visibility New Year's Eve after signing deals with ABC, PBS, BBC, and The Millennium Television Network.

Portions of the band's December 31 show in Miami's South Beach will be carried on ABC's "Millennium 2000," PBS and BBC's joint production "Worldwide Millennium Network," and "The Millennium Television Network" (made up of stations in more than 150 countries), and the band's camp expects the combined viewership of these broadcasts to be well over 1 billion people.

Fans who want to actually see the band in the flesh are encouraged to purchase tickets for the South Beach show through Ticketmaster.

If you want the full Blondie experience in the comfort of your own home, the live album "Blondie Live" is in stores as well as a DVD featuring footage from the band's show at New York's Town Hall earlier this year.
