Spearhead, Ozomatli, Blink-182 On "Board" For Charity Fest

Rapper Spearhead has been tapped as the headliner for this year's Boarding for Breast Cancer Snowboard and Music Festival. The event will be held on April 17 at the Sierra-At-Tahoe Resort in Twin Bridges, California.

The former Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy frontman joins a line-up that already includes ska(te) punkers Less Than Jake and Blink-182, hip-hoppers the Alkaholiks, and funk collective Ozomatli. The festival will also feature a special set from the trio of bassist Mike Watt, drummer Stephen Perkins, and guitarist Peter DiStefano, all formerly of Porno for Pyros.

The all-day event will also feature demonstrations from such snowboarding professionals as Shannon Dunn and Noah Brandon as well as a charity raffle for an opportunity to share the halfpipe with one of the pros on hand.

Organizers are hoping that the fourth edition of the Snowboard and Music Festival will raise at least $100,000 for the Breast Cancer Foundation, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and the

Nina Hyde Center for Breast Cancer Research housed at the Georgetown University Medical Center.
