Things are beginning to firm up for this summer's Ozzfest outings, which will include dates in the U.S. and Europe.
The tour's founding father, Ozzy Osbourne, has just announced that Limp Bizkit, Sevendust, and Coal Chamber will be joining Ozzfest on its U.S. run. They will join a mainstage bill that already includes Tool and Megadeth (see "Ozzfest Closes In On Line-Up, Lolla Lagging"). Another mainstage act is also expected to be announced shortly.
Meanwhile Seattle fuzz metal heavyweights the Melvins will be on the tour's second stage along with Snot, Incubus, Ultra Spank, Kilgor and System of a Down.
The U.S. Ozzfest is tentatively slated to kick off on July 3 at the PNC Bank Center in Holmdale, New Jersey, and is expected to run through the beginning of August. Tickets will go on sale in mid-April, and an itinerary should be ironed out shortly.
On June 20, Ozzy will take the Ozzfest to England for the
tour's only European date which will take place at the Milton Keynes Bawl outside of London.
The European Ozzfest audience will be treated to a bill that includes Ozzy, the original line-up of Black Sabbath, Foo Fighters, Pantera, Slayer and Fear Factory, with Coal Chamber and Life Of Agony among the bands playing the second stage.
