Ozzfest Headed To Big Screen As Filmmakers Seek A Title

Metalheads won't have to wait until next summer to get that Ozzfest feeling again as a documentary capturing last summer's outing is bound for theaters.

However, the filmmakers need a bit of help naming the movie before they can release it.

Director Penelope Spheeris (whose credits include "Wayne's World" and "The Decline of Western Civilization" and "The Decline of Western Civilization, Part 2") took a crew on the road with Ozzfest '99, and has crafted a documentary that captures those unique sights and sounds (complete with Dolby Digital Surround Sound).

The Ozzfest camp plans to roll the film out in select markets next year on a tour that will also see three bands playing live at each stop.

The only hitch is that the film still needs a title. Submissions are currently being accepted via e-mail at ozzy@artistdirect.com, and fans are encouraged to send in suggestions that properly crystallize the complete Ozzfest experience.
