Frank Black To Premiere "Catholic" Songs, Album On Web

Former Pixies frontman Frank Black will take to the web today to premiere two new songs, "All My Ghosts" and "King and Queen of Siam," from his forthcoming album, "Frank Black and the Catholics."

Internet users can download complete MP3 versions of the song for $.99>, and on August 22, GoodNoise will make the entire "Frank Black and the Catholics" album available online for $8.99 -- a full month before CD copies of the record are slated to arrive in stores.

In September, Frank Black will use the web to make a new song an instant collectible by posting an internet-only track that will be available -- for free -- until the end of the year.

Black recorded the new album, the follow-up to 1996's "The Cult of Ray," last year with his long-time backing band of the last four years. In June, Black and company wrapped an opening stint for Pearl Jam during the Midwest leg of that group's Yield tour.

The CD version of "Frank Black and the

Catholics" is due out on September 8.
