December 2 [12:00 EDT] -- Björk was hospitalized in Reykjavik, Iceland after running a high fever on November 27, and was subsequently diagnosed with a "routine" kidney infection. The singer was released on December 1.
Though Björk is in no immediate physical jeopardy, her doctor has advised her to rest at home in Iceland for the next three weeks, preventing her from meeting her pre-holiday appearances.
According to reports, four radio appearances have reportedly been cancelled, including KROQ's "Acoustic Christmas" in L.A. on December 5, and two live shows, one at the Shrine Auditorium in L.A. on December 8 and the other at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York on December 14. In addition, a David Letterman "Late Show" appearance will also be missed on December 16.
