112 Looks To Biggie For Album Title

After crisscrossing the country on tours with Keith Sweat, New Edition and Puff Daddy and the Family, Atlanta-based R&B quartet 112 is finally set to release the follow-up its 1996 self-titled debut.

The new album is entitled “Room 112,” a title that comes from the group’s hit single, “Only You,” and one that members Slim, Mike, Q and Daron hold close to their hearts for sentimental reasons.

“Notorious B.I.G. rhymed on ['Only You'],” Q explained to the MTV Radio Network, “and there was this line that he had in the song where he said, ‘Room 112, where the playas dwell.’ So this album is called ‘Room 112′ for that reason — in memory. To let everybody know that he’s still with us everyday.” [28.8 RealVideo]
