Faith Evans, Mary J. Blige Tapped For B.I.G. Night Out

After the success of last year's inaugural B.I.G. Night Out, Voletta Wallace, mother of the late Notorious B.I.G., is planning to hold another benefit gala in honor of her late son in March.

Ms. Wallace plans to stage the second B.I.G. Night Out at New York City's Chelsea Piers, and has already booked Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans, and newcomer Carl Thomas to perform at the affair. MTV's own Ananda Lewis and music industry veteran Ron Grant will host.

As part of the banquet, Daymond John, Carl Brown, J. Alexander Martin, and Keith Perrin, the founders of the FUBU clothing imprint, will be honored for their charitable work through the FUBU Foundation, a community outreach organization.

Last year's event raised $250,000 for the Christopher Wallace Foundation, an organization that provides books and computers, to youths from the Notorious B.I.G.'s old Brooklyn neighborhood. There are also plans to build a community center there in Wallace's name.

B.I.G. Night Out 2000 is currently scheduled to take place on March 28. Anyone seeking more info on the event should contact (212) 714-3564.
