Big Bad Voodoo Daddy To Play "Fantasia/2000" New Year's Screening

Hip swingsters Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will get Disney-fied for New Year's Eve, as the Los Angeles group will take part in the "Fantasia/2000" Gala being held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and Exhibition Hall in California.

The highlight of the event will be the unveiling of Disney's new animated film "Fantasia/2000," which features seven new interpretations of classical pieces, as well as one old segment from the original 1940 "Fantasia." The 120-piece Philharmonic Orchestra of London will provide the live musical accompaniment to "Fantasia/2000."

Immediately following the screening, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will perform at the Exhibition Hall, counting down to the arrival of the year 2000 at the stroke of midnight.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, which got its break by appearing in the 1996 film "Swingers," is currently on the road in support of its new album, "This Beautiful Life," which was issued in October via Interscope Records.

The group is scheduled to play

the Beaumont Club in Kansas City, Missouri on December 12.
