Punk Icon Jello Biafra Lands On Presidential Ballot In New York

Jello Biafra for president?

The former Dead Kennedys frontman and spoken word artist has agreed to have his name placed on the ballot for the Green Party's presidential primary election in New York state. Biafra will be vying against Ralph Nader and three other candidates for the nomination in New York.

If you're wondering where Biafra stands on the key issues, he is a supporter of the "maximum wage," which would limit the amount that a company's highest paid employee can make to a multiple of what its lowest paid wage earner makes. He also supports squatters' rights, and opposed to the World Trade Organization.

Biafra has dabbled in politics before, running for mayor of San Francisco in 1979 campaigning for a law that would force business men to wear clown suits downtown.
