Ben Folds Returns To Road, Records With Whiskeytown

Sing us more songs, piano men.

After a short break from touring, Ben Folds Five plans to return to the road for a string of dates in the south and west, beginning April 26 in Charlotte, North Carolina and ending on May 11 in San Diego.

But before getting back on the bus, the band will make an appearance at the Burt Bacharach tribute April 18 in New York City, as we previously reported (see "Noel Gallagher, Ben Folds Five, Mike Myers To Sing Bacharach").

In related news, a spokesperson for Whiskeytown says that the sessions held last Christmas between band frontman Ryan Adams and pianist Ben Folds has yielded two new songs.

Although the spokesperson said that no definite decision has been made regarding the material, there's talk that the tracks may be included on re-releases of Whiskeytown's older indie-records, which their current label, Outpost Records, has acquired the rights to.
