September 18 [Updated 8:55 EDT] -- The next Farm Aid benefit show, which features Beck, Neil Young, Dave Matthews and others, has reportedly moved from Texas to Illinois.
Word came late Wednesday that the show, originally scheduled for October 4 at Texas Stadium near Dallas, was canceled due to lagging ticket sales.
Now the Associated Press reports that the show will move to Tinley Park, Illinois on that same date. Wednesday afternoon headliners including Beck, Matthews, and Steve Earle were still committed to the show.
As previously reported, the show will also to feature turns from John Fogerty, John Mellencamp, the Supersuckers, and a host of others.
Farm Aid, the charity founded in 1985 by Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and John Conlee, has raised more than $13 million for 100 farm organizations across the U.S.
